About our director
Mrs. Gallegos
New Braunfels High School & Ninth Grade Center
Head Director
CAITLYN GALLEGOS is beginning her 16th year of
teaching and her sixth year at NBHS. She is thrilled to
lead the Unicorn choir! Mrs. Gallegos previously taught
at MacArthur High School in San Antonio for ten years.
Mrs. Gallegos is a graduate of The University of Texas at
San Antonio. She graduated magna cum laude with
a Bachelor of Music in Music with an emphasis in music
studies and a Minor in Psychology. She also completed
studies in the Honors College, graduating with highest honors after completing an Honors thesis.
Mrs. Gallegos is a former member of Sweet Adelines International. She served as an Assistant Director for the Alamo Metro Chorus in San Antonio, with three International competition appearances during her tenure. She sang tenor in Essence Quartet, the 2017 Region 10 championship quartet. Mrs. Gallegos is also a former member of the San Antonio Mastersingers.
Mrs. Gallegos resides in New Braunfels with her husband Daniel, and their three children, Ruby, Olive and Ezra. They enjoy spending their time outdoors, cooking, and watching movies.
